Mosquito screens in Mallorca: Fresh air and views stay. Mosquitoes do not.

Netec Mosquiteras Mallorca: Custom-Made Insect Screens for Windows, Doors, and Patios

When the heat subsides in the evening, people in Mallorca like to keep their windows and patio doors open until late. Fresh air is welcome, but mosquitoes and flies are best kept out. That's exactly when you see what good insect screens are all about: they must close reliably, be easy to use, and be as unobtrusive as possible.

Netec Mosquiteras works with custom-made systems from Neher. With more than 300 variants, the company offers solutions for a variety of window profiles, doors, skylights, and large patio openings. Rather than adapting a standard system, the company assesses on-site which design is best suited to the opening and its daily use.

Custom-made insect screens for windows and doors

Tension frames are a discreet solution for windows and can be removed if necessary. Hinged and swing frames are available for balcony and patio doors. Pleated blinds take up little space and can be pulled to the side.

Sliding systems are used for wide glass facades and large patio openings. Roller shades retract into their cassettes when not in use; motorized versions offer added convenience for large or hard-to-reach areas.

Thus, the selection is based not only on the dimensions, but also on how windows and doors are actually used.

Transpatec: Clear View and More Air

The less noticeable a mosquito screen is, the more naturally it blends into the architecture. Transpatec by Neher was developed specifically for this purpose.

The fine mesh is virtually invisible and, according to the manufacturer, allows about 140 percent more airflow than a conventional standard mesh. Light and the view remain largely unobstructed—which is especially pleasant in front of large windows and anywhere where the view of the garden, the landscape, or the patio is important.

For people with allergies, Polltec offers a special pollen-blocking fabric. Households with cats or dogs can choose particularly durable fabrics as well as built-in pet flaps.

Mosquito screens for patios, skylights, and special installation situations

Wooden windows, aluminum profiles, existing roller shutters or persianas, and large-format sliding doors each have different requirements in terms of mounting and construction.

Netec therefore takes on-site measurements and tailors the frames, fabric, and operation to the specific situation. Skylights, light wells, and non-standard dimensions can also be accommodated.

Especially with large openings, this precise planning determines whether the insect screen will actually operate smoothly, close properly, and remain visually unobtrusive.

Consulting, Installation, and Repair in Mallorca

At the exhibition in Son Bugadelles, visitors can directly compare different frames, fabrics, and operating mechanisms. Once measurements have been taken, the appropriate solution is manufactured and installed on site.

We also repair existing mosquito nets. Damaged mesh can be replaced, and the systems can be adjusted as needed.

This way, windows and doors remain open to everything that's part of life in Mallorca: light, fresh air, and long evenings. Only the mosquitoes stay outside.
